Yesterday I relaunched Pulse’s Website which is the first site I’ve worked on in almost two years. It came out really sweet, and I checked this morning and from 4:00PM yesterday to around 6:30AM today – they’ve already racked up a few orders. I’m hoping everything is good. I consolidated their two sites – Tattoo Flash & Tattoo Supplies into one awesome site..

With that, I also relaunched my own website.. (JaredMatfess.com) and I added my Twitter to the Blogroll on the right.. More updates to come..

Just hanging out on a lazy Saturday in California.. I need to work tomorrow, so today has to count..

I am really digging Skype and locked in on a good deal for the Philips VOIP841. It’s a wireless phone that you can use with Skype – ie; no PC required for conversing. I recently did a test between a mobile call to a landline in China vs a Skype call using the Philips VOIP841 and the Skype call was MUCH clearer. The only downside is the Philips phone kind of sucks when it comes to ergonomics. I suppose you can use the speakerphone feature, but what I would really like is the ability to attach a headset to the phone. I’m interested in the Communicator Grey C100S USB made by Polycom, but I do not want to just drop $120 on a whim.  Anyone with any experience?

I have posted most of the pictures from my China trip.. However, I noticed that my camera began having problems when I used the flash. So many of the photos that I took at night came out kind of crappy. I’m going to ask Leo to send me his pictures from the Olympic Park.. Guess I’m going to need to get a new camera… Maybe I’ll spring for the Canon Powershot G10

This weekend was absolutely awesome.. Friday night I went out with Vivian from work and we had dinner at this cabaret type place in Beijing. There were all sorts of performances such as jugglers, magicians, etc.. It was pretty cool.

Saturday morning I met up with Leo & Lisa and we went to the Forbidden City.. We saw Tienanmen Square and then we did some shopping.. More like, I did some shopping.. Then we took the subway to the Olympic Stadium and I snapped a bunch of great photos in front of the Bird’s Nest & Water Cube.

Sunday morning we got up early and Leo’s uncle drove us to Bada Ling so that we could climb & descend the Great Wall.. Again, more awesome photos and just an incredible experience. I was a bit of a star on the Great Wall, taking a few photos for folks wanting me to pose. I think maybe they just wanted to see if I was going to fall on my butt.. Came close once..

Then after our climb we went back to have lunch with Leo’s family. They were incredibly warm, and Leo’s mother took great fun in making sure that I tried everything.. Leo’s dad got me a bit buzzed off some of their rice wine which was 67% proof.. An hour lunch turned into a 3 hour visit!

Then that evening we went to the Summer palace, which again was just remarkable. Today we had a meeting in downtown Beijing and tonight I’m going to grab some dinner with Vivian and maybe do a little last minute shopping!
